Post s15 Blacktop in GTiR
Hey guys, just wondering if it would be possible to stick a s15 blacktop motor into a GTiR?
If so, how hard would it be or is it a matter of a simple swap?

Cheers

LOTS of stuff is different for a RWD. Coil packs, crack angle sensor, water pump, block casting, mount locations, bellhousing bolt holes etc etc.

You *COULD* put the head on a GTI-R bottom end, but there are again, differences, you're better off spending the money to do a VVL head conversion if you really wanted something with a black rocker cover.

You *COULD* put the head on a GTI-R bottom end, but there are again, differences. Plus the VTC requires specific ECU manipulation. You're better off spending the money to do a VVL head conversion if you really wanted something with a black rocker cover.

No... you cant, if you did, the money required to make it bolt up is well and truly not worth it.

waste of time. why would you even want to do that?
GTi-R engines are pretty easy to get these days.
